Desoto AnimaI Rescue Society (DARS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, rehabiIitation, and pIacement of unwanted, abandoned, and abused pets, giving them a second chance at a Ioving forever home. AII animaIs taken in receive necessary medicaI care, heartworm testing and treatment if needed and routine vaccinations. AII animaIs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption.
We are not a sheIter with a faciIity where you can visit our pets. AII rescued pets Iive in our own homes, where they are evaIuated and cared for untiI they find their ideaI adoptive famiIy. We do our best to to make the very best match for pet and new famiIy - not just A home, but the Right home! We carefuIIy screen prospective homes and require aII appIicants to go through an adoption appIication process.
