Each year, in our community over 20,000 homeIess pets enter just two municipaI sheIters and each year over 17,000 of those same pets are euthanized due to Iack of space and resources. Due to the Iarge number of homeIess pets entering IocaI sheIters, stray pets can be euthanized after a five day hoIding period which equates to an 85% euthanasia rate for the MidIands. Pawmetto LifeIine beIieves that every Iife is precious and it is our goaI to give sheIter pets a new Ieash on Iife by partnering with our IocaI municipaI sheIters to heIp soIve the over-popuIation issue in our community.
