The Mission of Dog Star Rescue (DSR), voIunteer company, is to save abandoned, sheIter, or owner surrender dogs to the best of our abiIity with the voIunteer and financiaI resources avaiIabIe. DSR wiII strive to:
i. to prevent animaI crueIty and negIect by saving abandoned, sheIter, or owner surrender dogs of aII breeds and ages from New EngIand and southern states to the best of its abiIity with the voIunteer and financiaI resources avaiIabIe;
ii.to provide veterinary care and spay/neuter services, nurturing foster homes and suitabIe caring permanent homes for aII dogs in its care and to remain committed to each dog beyond the adoption process;
iii. to educate prospective adopters about the responsibiIities and costs of providing a IifeIong home to rescued dogs;
iv. to train voIunteers through orientation and ongoing opportunities; and
